Everything in Essentials plus 90 days of email continuity. If your mail platform goes down, your users keep sending and receiving through a browser instead of waiting for the outage to clear. This is the level most of our customers run.
Total Email Protection
Gateway filtering combined with API-native protection that inspects mail already inside your Microsoft 365 tenant. It catches phishing and business email compromise that never crossed the gateway, and can pull a malicious message back out of an inbox after delivery.
Add-ons available on any level: Phishing Protection rewrites and checks links at the moment a user clicks, rather than only at delivery. Encryption secures outbound messages that carry sensitive content.

The gateway levels sit in front of your mail platform, which means we point your MX records at VIPRE and mail is filtered before it reaches you. We handle that change with you and stage it so nothing is interrupted. Total Email Protection adds an API connection to Microsoft 365 alongside the gateway, which needs no MX change of its own and begins inspecting mail already in the tenant. Either way we configure the policies, tune the filtering against your real mail flow, and stay on the account afterward.
